now im not saying ive got any sort of decent swing, but every time i have a lesson i seem to nail it (not on the bloody course though)and all i get from the pro is hit harder, bit of cream puff really,i do like to work on things and i never really get any constructive feed back, have used about 5 different coaches

Think you have been getting bad coaching. End of. You need to find someone new, sit down and discuss what you are trying to achieve, what sort of timeframe you are looking at and how much time and effort you are prepared to invest. If you are going to these guys for one off lessons it's hard for them to get a feel for you and your game and they will just fix the biggest fault at that time.

I get mullered on here for having had three teaching pros in five years despite the fact the original guy was out of action through reconstructive surgery which prompted the initial move away to the second guy. I stuck with him for nearly three years but just felt I'd stagnated and wanted a fresh pair of eyes. This new guy I use is brilliant and I really understand what he is getting me to do and more importantly - WHY
