Had a lesson today and the pro told me i would have to get 6 inches cut of my clubs, has anybody else had this advice.

Have to agree and think the pro is talking a load of Jackson Pollocks.

I can understand maybe an inch and even then I'd be wary and want to know the exact benefits I would be expecting to see.

I'd think about whether to use him again. If he has this sort of view over the lengths of your clubs I'm not sure I'd want him playing around with my swing mechanics

Unless you have driver shafts on all of your irons i would defo be getting a second opinion om that!

utter mince.

6 inches would change the dynamics of the shaft to the point of being useless.

Apart from juniors i would be amazed if any more than an inch would be taken of any club

I'm surprised at 6 inches, I thought my pro might recommend me chopping them in half (so they fit in the Puma boot) and not to bother bringing them (or me) back to the course.

As it was, he challenged me to hit 500 balls with a few new drills and to come back when I'm done.......

Well, I'd wrapped that up by 6.36 this evening and booked a lesson tomorrow by txt!

I'm not sure the blisters will hold up...... :cool:
