Length of Lesson

I have either a half or full hour lesson depending on what I'm working on.

If it's a precise technical tweak then usually half an hour inside with the video. If it's something along the lines of shot shaping/learning new types of shots then an hour outside on the grass practice area. Also an hour on course lessons...

I would have thought unless you have some serious problems that need sorting half an hour is fine. I think lessons do depend on the level of the golfer taking them. I have a low handicap so do not have a lot wrong with my swing. But nobody's perfect and have gone to my pro when things are not going so good. But it is normally just a quick fix so he can sort me out within 30 mins. I would never go for a an hour lesson on swinging the club as I am not paying someone to just stand and watch me hit shot after shot once the problem is sorted. If you are a beginner or high handicapper then you will have a lot more that needs looking into and will take longer to teach you to do it, so depending on the golfer an hour may be needed.

Generally seem to be around 45 mins with another 15 mins to work on what I've just been shown. had tow series of six lessons at the start of recent years and it gave a lot to work on before I got into the main part of the season.

generally come away with a couple of simple things to work on to get familiar with the lesson topic.

Probably just opt for a quick tune up before the start of next season.
