Fortrose and Rosemarkie up here is a barely 6000 yards and most of the holes are little more than an iron off the tee and a wedge 2nd shot..... when there is no wind... which is usually one day a year

We're 6327 of the whites par 70 and that's plenty long enough for me thanks.

Add in hills, swales and slopes plus fiendishly undulating greens and you have a good but tough test. No-one ever comes and murders it but yet it never feels like a long slog either.

Absolutely none mate...I don't remember a day when it didn't blow....and its always across....up or down the Firth! My advice would be don't get a driver out until the 6th!
