Anyone been trying out the "A" swing yet? What results have you experienced? Haven't had a chance to try it myself yet - I'll maybe visit the practice ground later today.

Welcome along. Never heard of it but Leadbetter stuff has been around on the web for years. Some good stuff although I find his voice and those trousers pulled up so high a little off putting

Seen the a swing on my YouTube subscriptions. Will check it out later. I wouldn't rule anything out till I've tried it.

Seems to be just punting a version of Jim furyk's swing. In all honesty it is not a bad way to get people to swing from the inside. Basically the opposite to the way most people begin to swing the club. Steep to shallow as opposite to shallow then way too steep.

Thanks for the welcome! Yeah I have some/most of Leadbetter's books and videos. This is his latest system/book - just released this month.
@garyinderry I agree with you completely and the takeaway is just as in the old "Square to Square" method. Quite a number of pros appear to be keeping the clubface pointing at the ball on initial takeaway including Rory!
Had a go at it on the practice ground yesterday - some decent strikes but would need more time at it.
Like many, I get very interested when I hear the words long, straight, high and draw repeated often in instructional videos!

Looks pretty sound, as a means of even getting the 'feeling' of hitting from the inside. Not sure that it's a major-winning swing but for club players, it seems simple and effective.

See those on golfwrx absolutely hate it, so it must be OK.

Books out this month, got it on order.

Tried the limited amount shown on the web, strong left hand, weak right hand.etc.

seems to work a treat.will stick with it until I have a good read of the book.

Yes the grip change by itself has improved my striking - I had slipped to a weak left hand position. This grip is exactly as described by Ben Hogan in his "Five Lessons" book, so nothing new there.
Looking forward to hearing about your progress.

The only thing I would be wary of, as alluded to on golfwrx, is that with the massive shallowing of the plane on the downswing, there may be a tendency to early extend. Also, hitting that far inside with no idea of release may increase chances of a hosel connection.

Not tried, probably won't either, but any system designed to stop slicing can only be a good thing for handicap golfers.

Don`t knock it until you`ve tried it.

There is a more detailed explanation of the swing

on Golfdigest, but I don`t know how to paste it onto here.
