Anybody else having difficulties?
Everything seems to be going well and then it all grinds to a halt and slows right down.
Switching to Google Chrome speeds things up terrifically but I've got all my "bookmarks" on Google Toolbar and if I try to download it to Google Chrome it is saying I have to download Firefox too!

Sorry to hear your problems Smiffy. I don`t use Firefox but recently switched to Google Chrome from IE8. Google Chrome enabled me to import my bookmarks from IE without any stress or undue concern.

It asked me about importing bookmarks from another source and did so for me almost straight away.

Hope this is a way round it for you without copying each one and then pasting and saving

Aaah the perils of the modern world eh Smiffy?

How long does it take to add 3000 websites of a certain nature then?

There are a couple of things you can do to speed up firefox.

Type about:config in the adress bar.

Change these 2 entries to false by double clicking on each one in turn.
dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll
network.prefetch

That'll sort it out. You can always reverse it if it dos'nt work.

Thanks for that Mark, it seems to have worked to a certain extent.
Browsing speeds have increased but I'm still having problems with typing replies.
I'm quite a quick typer, and the words are appearing very slowly as I type, taking ages to "catch up" if that makes sense?

Spoke too soon.
Playing up again.
I've had to close my browser 5 or 6 times this morning because it just keeps hanging. Go into a new session, things OK for five minutes and then starts again.
Beginning to drive me nuts.

I think that you, and many others on this forum, have got totally the wrong idea about me Roger

Yeh! Yeh!

We can't all be wrong, can we?

;) ;)

Must have hit a nerve there - you very rarely use my full 1st name.
