Latest Firefox causing problems....

Hi smiffy.
It sounds like it's an add-on playing up. Something more than likely not compatible with the latest firefox.
Disable all add-ons (Don't uninstall yet, just disable (Tools>add-ons)then try firefox again. If everything is ok, you'll know that's where the problem lies.
Then enable each add-on, one at a time until the problem shows again. Once you find the culprit you can uninstall it. HTH
