Laser Range finder - does it work at night

Hi

Colleague at work wants to buy a laser range finder for shooting (guns not golf) at night and just wants to check the laser will work at night?

I can't see why not but just thought you guys might have a view?

Yes but only problem is if he cannot see what he's pointing it at.

The LCD screen is not illuminated, so I don't think you will see the numbers.
