I know that art is subjective and all artists see things differently, but there are some simply awful paintings on this program. If you didn't know whom had done them and only saw the "finished" artwork you'd think some had been done by primary school kids. Just my opinion.
P.S. I cannot draw or paint to save my life.

Some might say the same for Gauguin and Monet...and as far as Piet Mondrian's stuff...;)

I like it. And after all - they only get four hours...
 
Well, as has been said "I don't know much about art, but I know what I like."
I also can't paint and have no artistic abilities but I guess it's a bit like all these types of programmes, they have people of varying abilities.
Also, as art is subjective then everyone will do have different opinions, favourites, likes, dislikes.

I must admit I do have to laugh at some of the comments made by the judges. It's the same as you hear from other art experts. To me it's just waffle.
This, for me, sums up some of the pretensions of art
