Roy of the Rovers comic fan?

I used to love reading my sisters Bunty comic.
The Four Marys were my favourite.
Also used to get a cut out girl in her undies on the back and you could cut out various outfits that fitted her.
I didn't use to bother with the outfits.

I don't think it was "Mikes Mini men" but there was another one about a table football team that consisted of mini aliens - I remember thinking aged 10 that was quite unrealistic, but not any of the others ,

Roy of the Rovers was in Tiger before he had his own comic.
No-one has mentioned Johnny Dexter , and his Bulgarian 4ft tall bald manager - Viktor Korchnoi or something !

Johnny Dexter - "The Hard Man" - that manager followed him from Spain back to England. Definitely called Viktor. A definite fore-runner of Vinny Jones except Dexter could act. Then again, I remember watching Jones play for Harrow Borough when he was still a hod-carrier and he was an animal then. But I digress.

How about "Millionaire Villa"? A guy gave a Division One team £2M so long as he played for them.
