I disagree. It was a gripe I've had since watching the afternoon coverage on Thursday, and a lot n Friday and most of it yesterday afternoon. I did think they captured the drama far better on the back nine but I thought in general terms over the whole broadcast it wasn't as good as it could have been. At the end of the day, I think it is great Sky have invested so heavily in their coverage but it's just the one area I think needs looking at
The coverage was good, I thought Sky did a great job and it was an excellent tournament with a fantastic winner.
But I agree there was something missing. I think the coverage was more low key compared to what we are used to with the men's Open. Lower budget perhaps, less use of technology, less in depth analysis and features. Given the circumstances, it's probably fair that Sky didn't deploy such a large outside broadcast. A lot of them were probably working is Wales anyway.
