GPS and GPRS is 2 different things, Global Positioning system is GPS and GPRS is General Packet Radio Services, GPS is for Navigation and the other is for data transfer.

However, the ipod touch 4 does not have a GPS chip so its a no go :(

golfshot should work ok on the touch as far as i know, ive got it for my i-phone 4 and it is great. ;)

Golfshot will work as long as you dont get the golfshot gps version which shows how far you are away from the hole, etc.

I use golfshot and you can look back at how many fairways you hit, how many putts, etc.

Okay. So here we go.

TuneIn Radio - every conceivable type of music from internet radio stations.
Remote - use your device as a remote control for itunes running on your pc through a hifi.
Spotify - streamed user selected music. Need a Spotify account.
Lastfm - account required but you suggest an artist and it plays similar suggested music.
ICE123 - in case of emergency - useful to have on the front page.
PayPal - if you have a PayPal account it's easier to use than the desktop version.
Slidz - great for creating slideshows of your favourite photos and can be set to music that's on your device.
Skype - free calls to other Skype users over your wifi. Therefore turning your device into a 'phone'.
Facebook - if you're on it.
Twitter - same, or for following your favourite golfer.
YouYube - hours of endless amuzement and some great slo-mo footage of Tigers swing.
BBC News - self explanatory.
TV Guide - you can even easily set reminders just by tapping the programme. (The app with the heart shape)
Nightstand - a lovely alarm clock with weather info, sleep timer etc.
Traffic Info - details of traffic problems both in text and as pin points on a map.
ebay - easy to use.
PGA Tour - all the news from the PGA Tour.
F1 Racing - news from the world of F1.
Sky Sports News and Eurosport - take your pick!
iswing - swing reader - golf swing, all swing analysis stuff. Only useful if you have a camera on your device.
Tabs - Tyro Tuner - Chordmaster - if you're into playing the guitar.
Red Bull FMX - game - try the free one first, but the paid for version is a lot harder. Moto Cross in bull ring stuff.
Real Racing - racing car driving game.
Madden NFL 11 - if you like american football, this is a must have.
Tiger Woods - it's okay
iBasket Free - addictive and so simple.
Let's golf - a more 'fun' golf game.
Trenches - a fun game that's quite amuzing.
Angry Birds - A must have. Worth buying. But there is a free version.
CtC - similar to angry birds, but different enough to be interesting.
Fragger - again similar, but again different enough.
Dismount - an amuzing if somewhat 'sic' game for free.
Harbour Master - Flight Deck - same type of game, just a different setting.
Paper Toss - another must have. TableGolf is the same idea but a different theme.
PapiJump - certainly different, and doesn't take any time.
AW Casino - lots of casino games. No risk actually required.
Mastermind - just like the old board game from the 70's.
Music-Quiz - uses your ipod stored music as a music quiz.
AwSudoku - one of many.
Shredder - good chess game that also can help your own game.
Eagle - land the lunar module on target on the moon. Great No2's game!
Skies of glory - WW2 flying combat sim.
Hawx - like above but modern.
Blowfish - a simple but very addictive game if you're a competitive type.
2Do - the best to do list I've found.
A few others that I rate that are very useful to my business, but not much point listing them.

Well that should keep you going. It's by no means everything that's on my iphone, but it's a selection of the best. IMHO of course!

Another vote for Doodlejump :)

Need for speed is brilliant if you like that sort of thing. Better than PS2 imo just because of tilting the device for steering.
