Hi all, some of you may remember me from about a year ago when I started posting on these forums, however a bad leg injury (broken bone) prevented me from playing golf for some 10 months. Was really unhappy as I had only been back playing for 18 months or so after a 12 year break from the game.

However after some intensive training I've been back on the course for a few weeks and built myself up to playing a full 18. Now for the serious part, a competetive round

Hopefully will be making my competitive comback on Tuesday next week and looking to take in a couple of the local open tourneys here in Fife during August, onwards and upwards as they say.

Target for this season - get through it !!
Target for next season - cat 1 handicap :D

Welcome back to the game Kaizer.

You spelt your name wrong in the thread title though.

I've been lucky enough not to suffer any injuries that have affected my golf, cant imagine what i'd do if i had to spend that long away from the game.

Welcome back

Still playing your golf at Glenrothes? last i read you were looking to join another club. Don't suppose you found one since you have been out for a year

Yep Stuart, still at Glenrothes, joke of a course that it is :(

Felt it was better to keep at least some sort of membership going as my handicap might elapse otherwise (is it still 2 years ?)

Will definately be playing golf elsewhere next year tho', main one's I'm looking at are Thornton or possibly Balbirnie, only if they decide to drop their £350 joining fee that is. Some outside contenders would be Kirkcaldy (Balwearie) or maybe even the links courses along Leven way, however travelling time will probably rule those out, it's nice to be able to leave the house and be on the first tee for a practice game within 20 mins or so.

Hello Verbal

I wasn't using the site when you left, but its good to have you back and I hope you have fully recovered from your brake.

Did you ever play in a barber shop quartet in Biloxi, Mississippi, if you did I might have seen you. You used to hang around with a guy called Kobayashi, what ever happened to him?

Agent Kujan

and like that...............he was gone!!!

good luck

Nah, I did however play in a barber shop quartet in Skokie Illinois

However the rehab continued this evening, played 9 hole bounce game, birdies at 2nd, 4th and 9th were undone by a triple at the 6th :( and a bogey at the first. However 1 over even off the forward tees is a very acceptable score, however conditions were absolutely perfect tonight, a gentle breeze and not too warm. Long may it continue.
