Welcome to the forum. We were all slow when we started so if you get on a course soon, just be conscious of those behind you and don't be afraid to let them through asap. Other than that, maybe a lesson or two to get the basics sorted properly and then go out and play, play, play. It's the only way to learn the game properly

Just go down the Muni there and knock a ball around.

Try to go 100 yards straight for your first round, build some confidence.
