Junior Club Entrance Fees

We bring them in as Juniors and they get their years golf for their annual sub. If they do eventually go on to become Ordinary members in later years, there is a discount on any joining fee based on the number of years Junior membership they have had. That said, we have now got an interim membership for "young adults" too old to worry how that works though!

Thanks Guys.

So the £600 entrance and £350 subs sounds steep then?!? I simply can't afford it. I am seriously thinking about going somewhere elsewhere at the moment.

Thinking, Id have already left good buddy.
Plenty of good clubs out there that look after their juniors, not milk them like a cow.

If the course in your sig is your home club, then it's not exactley a run of the mill golf club is it ? Woburn is a rather up market afair all in.

It is my home club. It's only 3 miles from my house. A beautiful place to play golf and I love it there. Just frustrated at the cost of the entrance fee. I could (almost) justify the fees if it wasn't for the initial cost!

at our 2nd club they told me now shes 14 we have to pay a joining fee of a one off payment & membership, I thought it was abit steep but on reflection this one of joining fee of £160 is a bargain in the fact that if she did'nt pay it till she was an adult, its over a £1000 then.

Woburn's good but it is expensive. I played there in a match a good while back. The Guy I played with was one of the original life members - cost him £7500 in '76! Can't remember how much it is per year now but it made me wince back then - must be nearly twice that now!
PLenty of decent tracks around there that won't cost as much.
