I've subscribed to Golf monthly for several years and have joined your forum just to have a go at this new guy called Dan Walker. Who is he? Some football guy? Some luvvy? All he does is talk about all his so called celeb pals. This is supposed to be about golf not about him.

God forbid you might listen to that new fangled thing called a "radio"......you might have heard him there on ALL things sport
I suspect though that the thing "radio" will never catch on

Why not simply google him and get a full picture,

The man is a professional journalist with an interest in all things sport, have a look at the TV on a morning and you'll find him presenting the BBC Breakfast show.

Also comes across as a very likeable and principled guy who does a lot of charity work with his "celeb pals"

Send your CV to Mike H, you just might be what he's looking for.

I stopped buying the mag a while ago as it had just become the same as Todays Golfer, so have not seen the column you refer to.

i get it for free .. deffo wouldn't pay for it . or any other mag though these days .so much excellent online content.

I still see Dan Walker as the guy who at one Open, did a piece from the container where the Pro's had left their clubs, he proceeded to pick clubs out of the bags to see who was playing what and some what less than carefully put them back from where they had come.

I think it was Nick Faldo who was in the Studio, called him "Wally Walker" or a "TV Muppet"

Nowt wrong with Aimpoint and only 350, everyone knows that before you mention or post a thread on driver distance you need to be hitting at least 450

Thats enough about Dan Walker ( delete the L and insert ?..). Hi Patrick I play at Royal Dornoch and Golspie, I think I maybe played with you when you were a member at Tain? I'm playing Nairn on 31st August. The Senior Circuit up here is great value this year I'm doing or have done Nairn £17. Inverness £15. Fortrose £12. Spey Valley £20. Old Moray £20.

Rejoined Tain this year, on the old member offer. Played Dornorch twice in the last few weeks
