A few years ago I burnt my finger quite badly.
Popped it straight into some iced water.
Long story short, the nurse at the hospital rubbed some gel on a plaster and applied it to said burn.
Amazing.
Took the heat straight out.
Last week I was in Tesco and as is my want, I had a look round the chemist section for this amazing stuff, just in case I need it again.
Couldn't find it so asked at the chemist desk.
I was told it was available, but only on prescription.
"Where is your burn" I was asked.
I replied "I didnt have one. It was just in case".
Sorry, you'll have to wait until you burn yourself, then you can come back and get some. :D
Any doctors in the house?
I can't remember the name of the stuff but I believe it starts with an F.

What's your "job's worth" story?

We work in a multi tennanted building near to Telford Shopping Centre. One of the guys came in with his family at the weekend shopping. Even though there were no other cars in the car park (about 300 spaces) he got told off for parking in another companies space as it was close to the stairs.

Security guards eh !

You should have shown them the finger Bob.....the one you burnt I mean :D

No specific jobs worths come to mind, but anyone saying 'it's against company policy' gets my engine revving...

My all time favourite was changing address for my car insurance.
Me. Hello, I'd like to inform you I have moved house. Can you amend your records.
Her. I'm afraid I cant do that on the phone.
Me. Why not?
Her. You have to fill out a form.
Me. Where do I get the form from ?
Her. Give me your new address and I'll send you one
:D :D :D

Bob, I`m a first aider for my sins and i work in the catering trade, the very best thing for a burn is to run said burn under a cold running tap for 10 minutes.
This stops the flesh from cooking and minimizes any blistering, we used to use burn spray in the kitchens but it became illegal, i believe it was because it caused a certain amount of frost bite if used too much.

Flamazine is an antiseptic cream based on a silver compound if remember correctly, not an analgesic and tendency to cause over granulation -excess scarring if not used appropriately. Used to use it when I worked in A&E 20+ years ago, less popular these days
