Hi there,
I see that I am coming late to the subject but I have owned 2 XF's and loved them both. In my opinion if you are in the market for a medium sized exec car you will not find better. \i owned both the 2.7d and a gorgeous black XFR and they were first and
third best cars I have ever owned, No2 being a 911 Supersport!
The 2.7d had a lovely smooth engine while the R was a real fire breathing dragon in sheeps clothing.
The interior is stunning and while 5 yrs old now it still knocks spots of the competition and while the boot is indeed not large it never let me down when away or while filling it with my golf gear and trolley.

BTW, I MUST mention that talking the Jag sales fella was streets above the idiots at Merc and Audi.. Met him on Sunday 4pm, just before they shut. But he hung around and showed us around. This morning have a follow up email in a language that is not pushy at all.

I have considered getting the new Sportback version of the XF but have decided to get another 5 series instead. Prefer the form and function that BMW offer.

Thanks to the government pushing for more electric/hybrid trolleys, its a great time to buy high performance vehicles.

Just my luck the car I really want next doesn't seem to be depreciating much.

I’m saying this now, it might change if I win the lottery. But, there is no way I would pay 500 per month for a car that will depreciate by about the same amount.

Next to buying your house, paying out good money, all your days, for cars is what everyone accepts.

I never pay for anything on the drip. I look for a car at the best deal, run it for a short period then sell it again for very little cost or loss.

At first it’s a pain in the arse, but after a while you get used to it and you can save a small fortune.

Nice cars the jags, but they do drop a fair amount. If you've got the money........

I have paid upfront for our last 5 cars.
I don't say anything to the salesman and he assumes I am paying on the never never. He works out all the finance to the best price I can get and then at the last minute I tell him that I am paying upfront.
Saved me quite a bit over the last 10 years.

With the Child benefit cut, dont think I will have money to do an upfront pay for the the Jag...
