Think it's the first bit of rain we have had for weeks and i'm glad to see it!

The course was close to being abit knackerd because it was so dry but this rain should do it wonders.

Anyone elses course suffering abit with all the dry weather and praying for some of the wet stuff?

Our greens are still poor. The ridges that caused so much grief 2 weeks ago are still visible and making a nuisance of themselves. Plus they've put down some sort of fertiliser or something that clings to the ball and stops a decent roll.

The rest of the Course is looking fine - the tee boxes are dry but not too bad.

Need this weekend rain badly.

Yeah BOZZA our place realy needs it at the min , put bit of colour in the course aswell, well over due here , presidents prize next weekend so hopefuly it will stop for that

Our head greenkeeper must have seen this as an opportunity as he did a bit of top dressing yesterday and it started raining last night and has been on and off all day.
A couple of our greens were getting very hard to hold and were easily possible to putt back off from 8 feet away from the hole.
Definitely a welcome days showers as this will bring up a little more growth and keep the course green and lush.

We had rain half way through the game today. Suddenly instead of being by the hole, I was leaving everything short.
Not that it stopped me exactly.....

Our greens 2 weeks ago were impeccable, today they are starting to show signs of the lack of rain. We have sprinklers on the greens but even these are struggling to keep them tip top.

threatened to storm today then passed to the north, shame as our course is desperately in need of a few days heavy rain, hopefully it comes just after Ive finished my medal round saturday :)

We built some new tee boxes and a couple of new greens over the winter. Whilst the tees are in play, the greens aren't. The course is in great nick but we desperately need rain to help the seeded areas around the work......
