....with my 4 iron!

I used to love this club - teed off with it when my driver wasn't working and thought nothing of hitting two four irons to reach par 4s.

Sadly I've lost all confidence with it. I still use it with mixed results but realised last night that I have no confidence to hit it in a round that actually matters for anything. Doesn't help that I'm a relatively big hitter on a short course so generally don't get much practise with it.

SO.... I've bought myself a nice wee Adams hybrid. Took my 5 iron and 5 wood to Direct Golf, used the trackman to identify the gap I was trying to fill and then tried some hybrids until I found one that I hit nicely with the appropriate yardage.

Took it on the course and just practised from the locations I sometimes end up in where I chicken out of hitting the 4 iron. Looks promising..... just pride damaged going to the hybrid... it'll be a long putter next..... :o

Snap, fell out with the 4 iron a while back. Was at AG today and got a Superfast hybrid. I am not ashamed (or is that I have no shame?)...
Will do the same as you and head up tonight and play a few from those locations where I would play short with the 5 or 6 iron and see what happens.

If it works...
