Not a bad Wednesday. Come out of a meeting at lunchtime and check my emails, first one Bunkered magazine been in touch to say Ive won a book through a twitter draw.

Second Email from the Roxburghe Golf club to say Ive won a fourball including Soup, Sandwiches and buggies!! Not a bad little prize, judging by the website's green fee offers its worth at least £120 without buggies.

I never used to bother but in the last 12 months I have enter any I see, been lucky to win 2 prizes so far a diablo driver and a multi signed open towel
Not bad for the sake of a few mins to send an email.

Shortly after I joined my current club about 4 years back I entered a comp in Foremost magazine. Was extremely surprised but happy to get the call telling me I'd won a custom fitting with Nike for fairway woods and hybrids. Got a 3 Wood , 2,3 & 4 Hybrids. Too bad that my ability at the time was so poor, whilst I still use the 2 hybrid, don't use any of the other clubs, been in the garage for ages, probably ought to ebay them....

I entered a competition on a rival forum last summer and won a set of 3 Wilson FG Tour wedges. Went straight in the bag and are very good! Prefer them to my Cleveland wedges

breaking news .........just been announced that The Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course will join the European Tour Qualifying School Schedule for the first time when it hosts the first stage from September 11-14.
Makes me feel even smugger about winning the fourball :whoo:
