Martin Kaymer has won in America, Scotland and Europe. He's won a major on a course with 2,000 bunkers, on links courses in Scotland and parkland style in Europe, he MUST be the best golfer in the world with 4 wins this year including a major. There's something wrong with the system if Westwood gets it with his feet up at home.

Personally although he hasn't won since 2008 the best swinger of a golf club in the world is trevor immelman. He has been really struggling with injury for quite a while but when he gets back into the swing of things i think he will win at least another major.

Sure is purdy.
I'd love half of that lag

A great looking swing for sure, but I still prefer Luke Donald's (only just).

I still reckon Baker-Finch had one of the best swings in golf (despite his epic collapse after winning the 91 open).
Can't find a vid of it though.
I loved to watch him playing, he was such a natural talent and a genuine nice guy.

Never been a great fan of Luke's swing. Always think he is going to hook it. Great rhythm, but he needs to get mad and give it a smash at times :D

Adam Scott has a great swing. Saw an old Shell Wonderful world of golf the other day with Tom Weiskopf, and he has a 'mighty fine' swing.

Hard to argue, it sure is sexy and smoth.

Kaymer for me i think has it all....Iv said it before i think that he just has the edge over westwood as regards having the complete game.....Westwoods downfall are his moderate short game and the ability to control his emotions on the home stretch....I think that for westwood its a case of too little too late.....Its nice to see him shedding the pounds but if he'd have done this 10 years ago he could have achieved much more i think.....Still the future for these to will be interesting to say the least.

Best? There is a huge differance between best and pretty.

I agree. There are a lot of pretty swings out there (in pro land) and it isn't about how good they look but how they get the job done. I don't think Furyk, Westwood, Jimenez etc will ever be called pretty swingers but they all manage to make it work regularly. Look at some of the guys struggling to hold onto their tour cards on both sides of the Atlantic and a lot of them have swings that are very nice and flowing but clearly aren't doing the job often enough.

I'd prefer a quirky and repeatable action if that is what it took (as opposed to my quirky version). That said, I don't think you can look much past Els for effortless grace and power

Nuff said. :D

I must go to one of the forum outings. When you see my swing there won't be any more of these discussions about who has the best swing. All will have been answered.

Great golf swing but is it really the best???
Wonderful golfer but his putting, course management and clear thinking while under pressure are key factors. For a golf swing alone, there is not many better than Francesco Molinari, for someone who struggles so much on the greens he still scores well because he can hit so many iron shots close to the hole.

Damn you here was me thinking we had escaped from the sraight banana bunch!

Kaymer certainly does have a great swing, but out of the current players, think Els is way above the rest; all that power for so little effort.

In his prime, loved Seve's swing.
