is this fake? help!

I don't see how naming them is bad mouthing and it would stop other forum members from potentially getting ripped off

when i know they are fake, i shall name them. Why scare off potential customers for a business if they arnt. Im going to a TM retailer tomoro to shed some light on the situation

There is a list of known fake stockists mate on the tm website, looking at the gallery pics on the tm site and comparing them to your pics, then it looks like it could be fake, the milled is in the wrong colour and the number on the bottom is awful. the face insert looks ill fitting but it could just be the ppics.

name and shame chap, just incase someone else gets caught.

This XFT wedge from TaylorMade's website has the word "MILLED" in a different place....

But then to confuse things, this piccie from Golf Monthly has it on the other side :D

Gotta say though, the details in the GM piccie look a lot sharper than in your photo, especially the numbers and lettering.

Looking at the picture on the TM website, the face of your wedge doesn't seem to fit quite as well as the TM picture - could just be quality of picture.
TBH the whole thing looks suspect to me. That "52" isn't right.

Golfbidder seem to be very clued up on what is fake and what is genuine, they have examples on their website. Maybe contact them and send your photos to them, they may be able to help

im going to a taylormade reseller (listed on TMs website) and im going to ask if they dont mind taking a look. Im a bit embarressed but i hope they dont mind. I paid £50 so it wasnt a cheap wedge really wen you can get them for 60 in the pro shop so now thinking it wasnt worth the 10quid saving for all the hessel.

The thing that i was thinking is they are obv factory produced and everyone is not going to be perfect but il compare today.

I havnt removed the face yet haha and i contacted TM via email but no reply. Il check golfbidder if i can find that section

I WILL REPORT BACK THIS AFTERNOON TO LET YOU KNOW THE VERDICT :(

I think you'd kind of guessed they were snide.

Are you going to try for a refund?

Yer, i think ur right. Gave them to the pro and he showed me the comparison and wen u have the genuine article, its easier to spot but foook me they made a bloody gud effort. The grip text pattern was slightly thicker aswell.

As for naming and shaming they were from an ebay golf seler (i have no idea why i bought them from here tbh). When i get the refund i will post the user name. Money first haha. There was 100% positive feed back from previous wedges which made me feel confident but it just shows theres a lot of people being conned like me

And tbh it serves me right, ebay is full of shiiit these days
