Is it me or what?

Normally use a R9 driver. But the other day dug out one of my old drivers. A Callaway X 10* one. To be honest I hit it better than the R9. So think its going in the bag (until I fall out with it).
So my question is. Have drivers improved as much as they would have you believe. Or is it all marketing hype. Or the old driver just suits me?

I don't use a driver, so its hard for me to comment on them. What has changed a lot, are the shafts. Thats where a lot of the extra distance is coming from, and its not the length of them i am talking about.
