irons

mizuno MX23 irons for a high handicap player....are they gonna be any good for a beginner...????

Um.... NO.

Then again, we all start somewhere and those of us who remember (and played) the Mizuno cavities from 20 years ago would have been spoiled with MX-23.

Perfectly good to start. Miles off the pace compared to the U.G.I. offerings of Ping and Callaway if you want maximum forgiveness.

Not that I'm on a crusade or anything.

(runs for cover...)

Possibly but unless you get some lessons and the basics right no club is going to work on a regular basis

Homer, dont take this the wrong way fella, but lessons arn't the only way to improve someone's game. A lot of people come on here asking for advice etc, and 90% of the time your response is for them to book some lessons. Im not doubting that having regular lessons helps your game (well maybe), but what works for one doesnt necessarily work for another.

The OP came on asking if some particular irons would be suitable for him, and your response was to book lessons! Like I say, im not having a go, just think your standard reply of pushing people into lessons all the time is sometimes a bit much :D
