Some of you that follow me on Twitter (Sorry, not sorry!) will have seen it already, but I am still buzzing, so am sharing my story here too.

This weekend I finally completed Ironman UK. 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike followed by a 26.2 mile (marathon) run. All in 13:33:23.

It's fair to say I am just a little bit proud of myself! All with Asthma and incurable bowel disease. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Hell of an achievement, well done!

When's the next one? :D

Haha, a long time away, if ever. The bucket list is ticked, next up I fancy an ultra marathon. I may go back to ironman one day, but it would be an 'easy' one where you can do a fast time. Bolton is regarded as a very tough course! 28% of people that started did not finish!! Either just quit, had a mechanical issue, or missed a time deadline.

Fantastic, well done.
Did you have a sponsor page for this?

No, selfishly I did it for myself to prove I could do it. Didn't seem right to ask people for money to do something I really wanted to do anyway... Thank you though! I really appreciate the sentiment!

Fantastic, cracking effort, great stuff (y)

(I presume the sequel will see you stuck in a cave building your own super-hero suit)

Wouldn't have mattered to me for a good cause?

I'm actually doing it on my own :ROFLMAO: Wild river swim, cycle around the local area and a marathon on top. No target of time, just want to get it done and raise some money for charity plus it's a tick off the list! I'll have some help for each sector but quite lucky that I'm a 5 time marathon runner, strong cyclist and love swimming! I'll definitely drop you a message as it would be great to have some advice and info (y)

I probably mentioned this already but I still haven’t cleaned my bike after completing IM Copenhagen in 2019. It’s sat in the garage and I hope I never have to ride it again ?

If you do an ultra, do Race to the Tower along the Cotswold Way. Had two mates do it last weekend, looked ace. And the countryside is wonderful down here :)

Congrats again mate. Bolton is ridiculous and you smashed it. You just need to get your stuff framed now! (Yes, I still need to get round to printing and putting my photos in!)
