iPhone/hotmail problem

Can anybody help me out with an iPhone and hotmail issue.
Recently done the IOS upgrade on my iPhone 6s. Now I can't send email from my hotmail account, it's receiving them ok but won't let me reply or send any new ones. The issue is there with the iCloud account aswell but it won't receive or send.
Someone has suggested the outgoing server problem but I need an idiots guide to rectifying it.
Any help appreciated

Settings>Mail>Accounts>pick Gmail>Advanced>Outgoing Mail Server.

For Hotmail, you need these settings:

POP / IMAP imap
Incoming server pop3.live.com
Incoming port 993
SSl (security) incoming ssl
Outgoing server smtp.live.com
