iPhone 6

The i6 doesn't excite me, but I'm using the 4(not s) which due to the constant upgrades on the iOS systems lags a lot when on the road, I've compared itch with the 5(4g) and it would seem there's no issues,

I've got to be honest, I wouldn't change the phone as it's 3 years old and still going strong but I do need soMething that has quicker inter web access so will no doubt end up with the standard 6, the boot on my car isn't big enough for the 6+

I've got the 5s and it's my first I-Phone. The battery lasts from 6 in the morning till 10.30 at night with probably around 2 hours internet usage and 30 minutes of calls. I love the usability of it and the apps. Obviously there are more available than on android and it shows. It's not too big either although it's probably at the limit of what I want in my pocket. I won't be upsizing errrmmm upgrading to the 6 as it just doesn't seem to be any better? I don't want a brick in my pocket and my previous phone was the xperia mini which is tiny.

One thing that does concern me with the Iphone though, I have a rubber case and have never dropped it, but it still has chips on the corner to the back. Everyone bangs on about the quality but they seem to damage cosmetically very easily.

Are the AppleWatch and iPhone6 complemetary? Seems to me that if you want an AppleWatch you are still going to need an iPhone6 (or whatever 'phone' you wish to use)

The watch is useless without a compatible iphone device, similarly though likewise with the samsung gear watch.
The watches are just fads though so wouldnt expect them to become the majority over traditional watches.

Carrying a phone I haven't worn a traditional watch for years.

Had the 4 or 4s forget which but gave it to the wife in immaculate nick and still is. Queued for the 5s and that is in immaculate nick still but I am seriously wondering why I bothered. Most people got excited about the phone cover colours but then covered that to protect there phone. Eh.

buy an iPhone which comes with no manual and spend the next 18 months trying to find out what it can do before you buy the next iPhone and do the same again. When this contract expires al go onto sim only.

I have had more comments on me wearing my Hamilton Ventura wristwatch than which phone I have. However it will be interesting to see people's reaction to these smart phones.

what exactly will a smart watch do that a phone won't and of the answer is nowt why buy one.?

..and at the moment it doesn't seem to have a camera - and how do you take selfies? And it is far too small to do any web or document related work - for all of that you need (at least) a phone with a reasonable size screen. Then there is ApplePay (or whatever it's called). Well these days with the new debit cards I can just wave my bank debit card at a reader and that does my payment - I don't even need to enter a PIN.

The watches purely act as a companion device. Will display info such as text, time etc. Can also be combined with apps such as Freecaddie combined with the Sony watch to display GPS data on the course. Been around for ages with Android systems.

Apple don't do anything much thats truly new. They simply take existing ideas and give them mass appeal with improved usability. Add in the fanboys and they can do no wrong as highlighted perfectly by Brendy's earlier post.

To be fair what Apple do they tend to do it very well.
No smart phone is as easy to use as an iPhone.
The iPod changed the way of portable music players and made MP3 a household term rather than something only known to computer audio geeks (we've got Flac for that though)
The Macbook is easy to use reliable and damn high quality.
The Apple watch will bring this section of the mobile market to the forefront and we will see a massive increase people wearing these devices (as well as news reports about them being stolen at knife point)

The thing I can never get my head around is the covers that only protect the back of the phone which "everyone" has, I couldn't give a flying wotsit what happens to the back of the phone I want to keep the screen in good nick!

I'll probably get the 6 in a few months when my contract is due for renewal!

I've used my iPhone 4s for 2 years without a case. There are a few little scratches but nothing to care that much about.
I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 today. Contract renews on the 21st of this month, perfect timing.
