So come on then, the new iPhone 6/6+/iWatch has been announced.

Who is leaping all over it, and who is staying clear?

I'm overdue a phone upgrade, but I have to say, with so many amazing designs floating around before, I'm a little disappointed in this! I also thnk the lack of upgraded camera, the inability to be waterproof, and the historically poor battery may mean I move away from the iPhone for the first time since 2008!

I love the 6+. I had a Galaxy Note and loved the size of it, but despised the OS, and ended up going back to iPhone 5. So the 6+ is the best of both worlds for me. Can't wait to get hold of one!

Just too big to be everyday practical.

Glad to see everyone agrees already!!

The iPhone 5 I have got is the biggest phone I have had. I don't know if I would like the extra size or not!

The extra size really isn't that big a deal. Never had any issues with the size of my Galaxy Note, and that thing is massive. It'll be light as anything, and the size is so worth it when you take into consideration how beautiful the screen will be, and how good everything will look on it. Roll on my contract finishing so I can upgrade!

I fell out of love with the iPhone after I had a 4s. Not sure why, just felt like everything was getting expensive as well as other phones being better in a technology point of view. Moved to the Galaxy S4 over a year ago and love it.

I used to be a big Apple fan, but I think they're not as exciting anymore. No longer leaders of tech, now just an expensive smart phone manufacturer!

I think they've made an error with the sizes, the 6+ in particular is muckle! I do like the look of the watch though and might consider that when they're available.

re: battery life...I've got a 5S and the battery easily lasts all day with heavy usage

I find it quite funny that when mobiles first came out they were the size of bricks.
The innovation was to make them as small as possible...
Now we're gradually reverting to brick size albeit a tad slimmer..

And does it really perform that much better..? Is it faster..?
What are you going g to do with the 3.2 seconds you save yourself every hour..?

Maybe it's a problem with my 5 then, or maybe I have even heavier usage! Barely lasts 6 hours.

The watch seems to be the biggest criticised piece! From what I have read, won't last 12 hours, does too much, and not good enough at the basics. As with all Apple things, may be worth waiting till iWatch 2 comes out!

This is assuming that Scotland post-Yes doesn't collapse into a tribalistic, medieval country, devoid of electricity and other modern technology

I have the Iphone 5.

I spend quite a bit of time online and for that, the screen is just too small. This had me looking at the Samsung note series.

Not the 6+ is of a much bigger size, I could be tempted.

I much prefer IOS to Android, simply because it's simpler . I'm also not a fan of how the Android skin looks and prefer the IOS look.

Spec has been improved, although the camera still seems to be lagging behind the competition. Still only 8MP when Nokia and Samsung are upwards of 10MP and 14MP!!

Haven't seen any of the A8's processor spec's yet so will be interesting to see how they compare to SnapDragon and the others currently in use.

It will be interesting to compare the Samsung Note 4 and Iphone 6+ for sure

Apple are too far behind for me now, I had a 3g and a 4 then moved to samsung for the note and note 2. I am about o preorder a note 4 or note edge, just cant make up my mind yet.

Found this amusing.. Apple fans be crazy.

Agree they're too big now

All I want is my phone in my watch & on my wrist so that I can make voice calls, dictate text messages too it and playback email & SMS text
I don't need a phone with a 48" screen to watch videos or play games on!

Maybe not an issue for the user - but I think users look daft with a great slab held against their head. And hardly practical unless you're got mighty huge pockets. Nope sorry - I don't get these big 'mobile devices' at all. Happy with my iPhone 4.

I've got my Nexus 5 with me if I think I might have to do any serious web stuff when I'm out and about - ad hoc minor stuff I can easily do with my iPhone 4 - screen plenty big enough.

I'm an Apple fan, having used their Macs since late 1980s. I've got an iPad too. But I've never had an iPhone, primarily because they're too expensive in IMHO. I'll make do with my Galaxy S2 for a bit longer. :D

The Watch looks tidy though. But I'm guessing you need an iPhone 5 or 6 to get full functionality!

Looks like a Samsung :D
I don't get these massive new phones, I have a Galaxy S2 as a personal phone and Note 2 for work. The Note is just ridiculously big, I'd hate to have to carry it around all day in my jeans back pocket, I'd end up looking like Kim Karshadian!
