Interesting Start To My Birthday

Playing at Tylney Park later in a club match later. Wandered up to Royal Ascot to hit a few balls and there was guy striping them. Looked vaguely familiar but couldn't place him. Looked at the Titleist tour bag and blow me down it was European Tour pro Brett Rumford

Gave me a couple of pointers and a short game makeover and a top guy. No idea why he was slumming it at Ascot when Windlesham and Wentworth are local (apparently he lives nearby) but he was playing with Terry Price (ex Euro Tour and now on the seniors) later on.

Small world Martin. I was watching the football with Rich Lambert Friday and then saw Paul Dessoy for the first time in years yesterday when I was at Royal Ashdown Forest. The Tubebusters re-united.

BTW Tylney Park is a piece of ****. Portacabin clubhouse and a club that thinks its funny to have thick three foot rough down both sides of all the fairways. The place should be just blown up.
