Been playing a year now, playing 2-3 times a week. i'm not a member of a club yet and was considering golf insurance.Any advice on companies , policy requirements, premiums, cover, etc. would be much appreciated.

Our garage was burgled a few months back, they leant over the clubs to get a 4 year old strimmer!!

I'm with Golf Care and have been for around 2 years. Annual subscription and you get a free 4-ball at a huge list of excellent venues not only when you initially join but every time you renew.

I pay £39.00 I think although you can start at around £22.00 but I have full insurance worldwide.

If you have home insurance check with them first,I was about to purchase golf insurance until I spoke to my home insurer about a renewal, waste of money IMO.

we get this thread on a regular basis,it would be the best £22 you ever spent even if it was just for the piece of mind, not just for theft but to cover you for damage you cause to another golfer or their belongings.

Lots of company's do specific insurance but it pays to read the small print and see what sort of like for like they do if the clubs get nicked. Also, some like AG were insisting on receipts or proof of purchase to be included.

To be honest though from a personal liability viewpoint and the recent court case in Scotland then insurance is imperative to protect you from injuring other golfers

I probably worded it wrong , it was more liability than theft, Golf Care seems to be the one. Thanks

What kind of insurance do you have which stops you injuring other players? That's epic, they should incorporate that into car insurance, that's
Life saving!

No golf insurance here! Dont know anyone with it!
