Hi Guys,
No wise cracks on how the injury came about its definitely from golf
I had a little pre lesson warm up last night ready for tonight and if im honest over the last 3 weeks after playing golf nearly every night I have been having pains in my left hand. It has got to the point now that I cant even type with the hand or hold anything of any weight. the pain is in the palm and three fingers you really need to grip the club. I spoke to my pro as there is no way I can make my lesson tonight as it would be a complete waste of money. At the range yesterday my setup was great but i couldnt hit the ball. On my downswing I was completely moving the club to protect myself from the pain. I couldnt grip it and by the end of the hour even lift the club due to so much pain.
I am not only gutted that I cant be practising but also worried how long this will take to heal. I was thinking I will take a whole week off and see how it feels next week but reading another forum where someone had injured their hand and had similar pains said it took 2 months for him to resume.
I know I might get abit of flack from people saying man up but its completely hindering my game and there is nothing I can do when I come down to strike the ball because of the pain I am naturally loosening the club send the ball pretty much anywhere but pretty.
If anyone has had similar or knows what this is likely to be it would be great to here of how to heal it or how long it took. My dad does suffer from arthoritus (Surely not how its spelt) and my pro mentioned the term tendonitus...
I am only 26 and surely this would be hitting me now... hopefully!
