A couple of days ago I reached the Forum milestone of 1000 posts. :)

I expected a crescendo of applause and congratulations but was frankly floored and gutted to receive not a one greeting from my fellow forumers. :(

This is particularly galling in light of the attention that Messrs Madandra, Findlay, Medway etc etc received from the forum upon their reaching the millenium of posts and all the attention HTL is currently getting for his day of birth.

I know my posts are mostly a pile of irrelevant ***** but for sheer effort alone I feel I deserve some praise. :D

Shame on you, one and all. :(

My paranoia is increasing as this blanking is combined with the fact that no-one would come and play a match in Yorkshire with me in early April when on holiday. What does this tell me?

Am I the forum's pariah? :(

Sulk :p

Yours unappreciated,
B'man

What can I say by missing this. I've let you down, the forum down and most importantly I've let myself down. Well done mate I've enjoyed all your banter over the last few months.

Here's to the next 1000 and I promise not to miss that milestone

Come on birdie, we all appreciate your effort. I for one certainly do, I was the one who started the “where has birdieman gone” post when you changed into pingpal. It really is quite a milestone but with so many reaching it around the same date we were bound to miss someone out.

You certainly aren't the forums pariah may I add my apologies!

Your posts aren't **** and I for one enjoy reading your words ,there's plenty of love in the room for you :)

Sending some love your way today Stuart.

I personally blame benny for you being forgotten as everybody was distracted by his antics.

You are one of the most valued members of the forum without a doubt.

Also, hope that your back troubles are healing suitably.

Also, If I ever were close to your wherabouts of course a game would be arranged, all I can say is that if you had said you were coming down to my parish there would have been more than one of us wanting to make up a game.

But then Kent folk are much more friendly than the northerners anyway ;)

Feeling the lurv!

Back is coming on good Jon, still got numbness in the leg and foot but that's improving and I don't have any weakness in the leg which is good, back to work Monday.

Swinging a club yesterday and it felt pretty good, no twinges, targeting a week Sunday for a medal, maybe even next Wednesday if things really improve. Want some chipping and pitching practice before I put a card in though.

Been working away with the gripmaster to keep forearms and hands strong whilst I've been off. Highly recommend this gadget.

Connor, I live in Aberdeenshire, went on holiday for a week to Ingleton as the wife needed to attend a trade fair in Harrogate. Anyway it was ok but I shant be rushing back so unless you are up my way I'm not sure a match is on the cards.

It rained ans snowed most of the week and I was crippled with sciatica so all I could think of was the great words of Withnail (from the film Withnail and I)-

"We've come on holiday by mistake!"

Saw Settle, Skipton and Grange over Sands colf courses from the car window, didn't play golf at all. :(

Agreed, think a few people slipped past the magic 1000 posts unnoticed. Probably due to the much increased membership and the recent issues with dodgy postings.

Birdieman.......HUGE congrats mate on making the big '000

I'd totally missed it but would have stuck my head up and started a thread....

I remember someone once coming on and asking what the "big deal" was with 1,000 posts and thinking.....um.....why not mention the milestone, it takes a lot of committment to reach the big number. I had contemplated that this particular party pooper had started a negative campaign against long time GMfus getting their moment of glory. But, I say NO!

WELL DONE on reaching 1,000 posts......long may we disagree (most of ths time).
