Just a quick question, was playing yesterday when on a hole I was in the rough next to the green, so I thought I would give it the full works with my 64 wedge. Sadly I hit the ball halve way up with a full swing, it took off across the green and hit my playing partner full on the knee :o but on the plus side in dropped into the hole, nearly as fast as he hit the green!!!

What score should I have put down, does hitting him count against my score in anyway??

By the way hes now fine but did take a while for him to carry on.

Cheers

Brilliant :D :D :D
The image iv got has me in stitches......Ill bet he fell like he was shot by a sniper!!!! :D

As for your question i know that if you hit yourself or your trolley you are penalised 1 shot but im not entirely sure about your playing partner....But then your playing partner should not have been on the green in the first place.

If he was your playing partner in a fourball you would lose the hole.
If he was a fellow competitor it's just a Rub of the green (or a rub of the knee!) and it counts.

If it's your partner ie 4BBB foursomes etc then it's a 1 shot penalty not loss of hole. If it's your opponent in matchplay you can either play as it lies or replay it's up to you. In strokeplay it's just play as it lies.
