Im Back

How long ago did you break it? I'm almost certain it wasn't the obligatory 6 weeks ago, maybe I'm wrong, but it can't have been a very bad break.

I can't see the doctor having Ok'd a round of golf anyway, even with the cast off you need a period of rehab and rest to get it back to full strength. Playing tomorrow could just result in a reoccurrence of the injury.

I seriously doubt anyone could manage a round after breaking their arm. My mate broke his arm (well I broke it technically), when the cast came off, his arm had atrophied to thinner than my ****. :D haha

Get on the physio, start small and build it up

My neighbours son snapped his elbow, needing screws and pins inserted, and a plaster from shoulder to wrist, it was removed in less than 3 weeks after the accident.

Don't do too much too soon Mono, enjoy playing golf again, but don't push yourself (or trip over !)

You posted on 29th May that you had broken it so 4 weeks seems a very very quick time for it to heal even for a minor crack. When I broke my wrist a several years ago I was in plaster for 5 weeks and then had several weeks of physio to get the strength back. I'm not sure it'll be strong enough for golf and you'll do more damage.

The doctor ok'ed it I broke it on the 26th of may ??

BTW I wonder why they have not given me any physio and also to any saying when I broke mine. Your forgetting kids bones heal faster.

Really? I have been lucky enough to break both of my arms when I was 15 (at different times).

The 1st time I had a compund fracture and was in plaster for 10 weeks, so we won't talk about that one.

However, the 2nd time I had a tiny hairline fracture, was in cast for 4 weeks and then had physio, there was no way I could swing a golf club, I struggled to hold anything in my hand for the 1st few days.

Good stuff Mono, glad to hear you are on the mend.

As far as the timinig goes for healing these things are getting quicker now, just think about football players now. A career ending injury 20 years ago can be 6 months out now.
My bro in NZ broke his leg bad and didnt even get it in a cast. Times are changing guys.... Different types of breaks heal quicker than others so Mono personally Im gald it wasnt a bad break.
