First and foremost I would phone Trump, reinforce our special relationship and negotiate Prime Ministerial playing privileges at Turnberry, with a Stateside visit penciled in for the Spring. I understand Georgia is particularly nice around April??

After a few rounds on the Ailsa to clear my head and gather my thoughts I would call a snap general election, with some very important provisos:

- the immediate abolition of the current political parties and the house of lords
- all candidates standing must have absolutely no experience or qualifications relating to politics
- all ministerial and cabinet positions to be applied for, scrutinized and the best person will get the job

Clear the decks and start from scratch....

I was thinking the same - but I assume people are responding with their ideal outcomes rather than thinking they would have a realistic chance!

Well it worked for Jeremy Corbyn, promise the earth in the knowledge that you have no chance of ever implementing any of it, and make the other parties look like cheapskates in the process, a master stroke.

Hardly a master stroke if you end up in opposition. Didn't work for Corbyn either but nearly worked, as for 'no chance of ever implementing' he took 40% of the vote, I'd say that is a fair to good chance of implementation with that level of support, you make it sounds like the LibDems 7%.

Considering we have more tax havens globally than any other country and are looking to open more, it is very unlikely you would be able to sort out the corporate tax issue.

Slash Taxation.
Slash state spending.
Slash immigration.
Get out of the EU straight away.
Encourage people to be responsible for their own lives and minimise state intervention.
Look after the genuine needy and clamp down on the lazy.
Encourage business research and development.
Close the HOL and replace with an elected second house.
Have a last round of quantitative easing but give the money to households to spend on things that encourage British Industry.
Reduce overseas military spending and increase it on UK defence.
Spend more on prisons and police and make sure they are fit for purpose so that the violent and evil are given hard labour but minor crime is dealt with through public service.

If I were Prime Minister I would be an absolute Prime Minister, and do whatever the hell I wanted to do!
They'd need a coup to get rid of me!
