If you could retake one golf shot. Which one and why ?

Bunker shot, par 3 17th monthly medal couple months ago. Playing great out in 38 stumbled a bit back 9 then got the the 17th hit it in the bunker couldn't get out ended up leaving the green after 9 strokes. Played 18th terribly came back in 55, lost the medal by 3/4 strokes.

Learned the lesson now and wouldn't repeat it again. Two holes I normally just bogie but never mind it's just a game.
 
Tee shot on 16th in the 2nd round of the 2010 club champs.

Had a decent first round and was playing well in the 2nd. Got to the 16th and one of my playing partners said a "good three holes here Steve and you could win this". Hadn't even occurred to me, I was just playing my normal game.

Got on the tee and couldn't focus. Carved 2 balls OB right. Ended up carding a 10 on a reasonably straightforward the par 5. 17 and 18 were a mess as well.

Even messing those up like that I think I still came 3rd or 4th.
 
Only my second competition earlier this year, which was a medal board comp. Out in 54 including a 10 and an 8, but back in my best nine holes before or since with a 43 for net par. Missed top spot by just two shots, without at any point even considering that I could have been in contention.

Thinking back the most obvious shots lost were on our first which is a short par 4. Just left of the green in two with no hazards between the ball and flag and completely thinned my chip across the green at almost a 45 degree angle from where I was aiming. Ended up in the back of a bunker with a difficult lie. 4th shot moved the ball forward in the bunker a few feet, 5th was a good shot to around seven foot and the putt looked good, but horseshoed around the hole and left me with a 7. If I had duffed the third shot a few feet on to the front of the green and two putted from there I would have had a great start to my competitive career!
 
My 2nd into 18 last weekend. Knowing making 4 or 5 will get me to 6 handicap, I pull the club for the yardage and get quick. Blocked it into deep rough under a tree. Made a 6 and lost the competition by 1 point. Also down to 6.6
 
I'd like to have the 4ft putt I missed on the 36th hole of my divisional final back... I needed to make it to take the tournament to extra holes having clawed back from 2 down with three to play to taking it down the last hole.

Opponent had imploded down the stretch, and I was confident enough I'd beat him going down the first again... then I stepped up to the 4footer, rapped it a bit too hard through the break and it lipped out to lose me the match and the final.
 
So many... three putting the long par 3 (15th from memory) at the Forest of Arden to lose the GM Centenary final on count back right up there. Going OB on our 16th for a double bogey (and finishing 6,6,6) when only +4 gross another
 
Was 2 over gross stood on the 9th in our last qualifing comp of the season about 3 weeks ago. A decent round would see me hit single figures for the first time ever. Cue stuffing 2 balls oob ! Made buffer, but it's a case of what could have been!
 
Playing in a club singles ko against me bros best mate. Coming down the par three 17th I was 1 up. Put my tee shot 10ft from the hole. Lined up the putt, with 6" to go it was dropping dead centre, hit a raised spike summat or other and kicked left lipping out. He sunk a 6 footer and we halved hole. He won the 18th and first play off hole. I was gutted. He played off 8 and me 21. I played a stonker of a round but the golfing gods were not with me.
I hit the putt perfect but should of focused on that 2mm of raised whatever it was.
 
Mine would be the drive on the 17th about 4 years ago in the final of the match play singles

So focused coming back to all square with two to play from 4 down, stepped up and slapped my drive off the yellows which were about 2 metres ahead of the whites. Not knowing the rule i made a wrong call and lost the 17th to go one down and halved 18 to lose the match.

If if I was your opponent I still would of told you your teeing it up on the wrong pots.
 
Good question and so difficult to answer. I guess it would be in our club matchplay. I was playing one of the favourites (off 3) and had a 3 foot putt on 11 to go 4 up. I missed, had I got it I don't think he would have come back at me but it changed the whole game and he ended up winning on the last. He went on to win the comp too.
 
2 down in the final of a national matchplay comp. Ball is in thick-ish fringe on the back edge of the 17th green. Needed an up and down to go down the last. Do I chip or putt? Went for the chip and totally flubbed it to lose 2&1... who remembers second, first loser?
 
My 7 iron approach in to the 11th this morning. Absolutely ripped it high and fast, straight at the pin...............Should have used a 6 :(
