after 6 months of not using driver due to a huge slice and a mahoosive lack of confidence. Trying numerous tweaks, stance, grip, ball position changes etc, ONE lesson has sorted it!!

Granted I have drills to do and time & effort to put in but I finally know why I was doing it wrong and no tweak or physical change would have corrected it. It all boiled down to swing path and I even managed to get a nice draw on the ball. Not one slice hit after the lesson with about 30 balls!!

its a definite hallelujah moment for me today :D

Well done mate nice to hear somebody's luck with their big dog has improved.

I've been hitting my driver sound for a few weeks up until last week when i was on the 9th tee discussing getting a new driver with my playing partner, After that i've been hitting everywhere with no signs of improvement!

Nice going Gibbo - good to hear.

This has just convinced me that this is my next lesson.

I had a lesson a couple of weeks back on chipping an at the end just mentioned I was struggling to keep it straight off the tee - the Pro gave me a quick fix that really has improved things and I have felt much happier but I think its time to go back to basics on this.

Will try and follow your example :D

I'm a firm believer in lessons. I know many mock on here and say I waste my money as my handicap is increasing but the ball striking has improved inmeasurably and now I've got a short game permanent fix I can feel the old confidence returning. As very much a confidence player anyway and having played really well on Monday in the comp with Hawkeye I think the corner has been turned. I'd recommend a lesson to anyone as it is really the only was to get a problem diagnosed and fixed and self-assessment can lead to other faults and compensations
