No more wires and cables everywhere.
You just tell your tv/computer/hi-fi/lights etc the wi-lec password and the item draws is power out of the air in your house.

Medical cures not counting, what would you like to be invented?
 
A transporter to tellyport me to my destination, so that I did not have to get caught up in roadworks/road closures or take umpteen hours to get to where I am going.

Teleportation sounds great in theory, but then I read that the concept of it doesn't actually move atoms, it essentially destroys them and creates a perfect clone of them at the new destination. So that put me off it somewhat.

I've always liked that idea..... you could "install" the spanish language for 2 weeks before my holidays!
 
Wi-lec and the transporter would be my top two but they have obviously already been taken. Wi-lec would be a huge game changer.

How about the machine on the Star Trek Enterprise that created your food just how you like it? Food made to your spec, perfect every time and with none of the ingredients that you don't like. Lovely.

Wireless electricity has been invented but the development for computers etc has become a bit static.

And to keep it 'real' your minds data capacity is determined by how much common sense you have (just to make sure that the ejits of the world cant get smart and still have no common sense to apply the information they have)
 
Wireless charging has been around for some time, it wont be long before a TV for example has an inbuilt battery/inverter/transformer and is kept powered up via wireless.

Last version i saw, the power 'sender' would be in the ceiling rose of your lights.
