Teleportation sounds great in theory, but then I read that the concept of it doesn't actually move atoms, it essentially destroys them and creates a perfect clone of them at the new destination. So that put me off it somewhat.

Not to mention collisions in mid transmit and turning up as half a fly or taken over by aliens (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0123816/?ref_=nm_flmg_wr_39).....

Friends of my in laws moved out to Spain 10+ years ago. We were on holiday nearby one year, they had been there for 4-5 years at this point, and they insisted we went across and went to their favourite restaurant. The lady then proceeded to do exactly this whilst believing she was actually speaking Spanish. It was the funniest thing but incredibly hard to listen to and not laugh. The stiffled giggles around the table were a joy to watch.
