Under £100, is it do able? I'm not after world shattering sound but something quality.
Can be new or old doesn't matter although I do like my retro gear so I'm leaning towards that.
Been reading a bit but it's a goddam minefield so over to you guys ;)

I'd go for a project debut 3 sourced from eBay - quality kit available under 100!
I fact most project stuff would be good, also rega but good luck getting that under 100!

I held on to my Pioneer PL-514 turntable when I upgraded to my current disc spinner in 1984...and only recently just brought it down from Glasgow when clearing my parent's house. Must go check to see if it's worth anything 2nd hand.

[EDIT] Blimey - £100-£150! Really? Must go look again. Shoorly shome mishtake. Didn't cost me half of that when I bought it circa 1978/9.

I have one of these:

https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/audio...at-lp60usb-stereo-turntable-10116429-pdt.html

It replaced a very very old BSR unit given us by my Fiancee's grandparents. It's gone in the loft to keep around, but is past it in terms of usability really. The AT turntable is fab. Not used the USB function yet, not sure if I ever will, but can't recommend it enough since its arrival.

But in terms of old stuff, anything at the top end of your budget on eBay is going to be half decent - stick to the wider known brands and you might even still get replacement parts when something inevitably goes wrong!
