I need a Stiff one.....

My advice is get good, get fitted, and then stick with what you've got, for as long as they are the correct clubs.

I take regular lessons every month or so, visit the range at least once a week and my game is coming on leaps and bounds.

I did play of 13 / 14 unofficially a few years back but crocked my back and my game suffered for it.

Yes my HC is 20, but my last two round have been in the low 80's on the back of breaking 90 half a dozen times. Trouble is this was all in bounce games and no comps, hence the 20 figure.

I get you general point and i don't disagree per say, but like i said before, golf is my hobby. Its not just about getting better. Its about enjoying myself. If this means i tinker with my shaft........

Then so be it

Charming

Truth be told, experimenting with clubs and getting a feel for different things are all part of the learning experience and are all part of the package for me.

Its not 'only' about playing the game. I enjoy all the different facets that go with this hobby called golf.

No offence intended, I just find it amazing how people chop & change their golf clubs so much. Maybe it's just me, but I can't understand why anyone would alter a perfectly good golf club just for the fun of tinkering with it.

I am not altering the club though. I am buying an additional shaft that i can swap as frequently or infrequently as I like.

I do have the option of buying a very cheap stiff flex driver (r580 or similar) but like you say the Cleveland is a cracking club already.

Its just a bit of fun
