I felt sorry for Scott but it was a great Open. A superb course and everyone (IMO) in agreement that bunkers should be penal and not just an inconvenience. The best players rose to the top in this tournament.
However as much as I felt sorry for Scott it would have been a travesty for the Open to have been won with one of those putters or even a belly putter for that matter. I hope it has scared the R&A enough to make them move a wee bit quicker and ban the things from next season.

Can't stand all this Scott bashing. Superb for 68 holes and I'm sure those knocking him have dropped their arse in club events too. OK not a global sporting event in front of millions but bottled it all the same.

His arse was twitching big time after the wee putt and was positively hanging out by the time he stood on the 72nd tee.His bagman needs looked at too,why he let him hit 3 wood god only knows.
