I had a late call yesterday

to play in our Jubilee frolics (mixed fun event) rushed up to the course and went out in a 6 ball, greensome though so it wasnt too bad, pared 5 of the first 6 and had 22 points after 9, we were only playing 12. Blobbed 10 & 11 and finished on 24, winners had 29.

Never played mixed greensomes before, do the points totals tend to be high?

Incidently one of our group was the 6 handicap best player of our section at out club, a slip of a girl who was driving the ball around 240 yds, scarey stuff!

At our place they do tend to be although for our mixed greensomes on sat winning score was 2 under off 405combined handicap, we tend to go for stroke play.
Always good fun to play in and found out from my partner we had both got lifestyle blocks so talked cheese making and butchering pigs for most of the round

Got a call at 3pm yesterday from my father-in-law that went; We're playing Gullane no.1 at 5pm I'll pick you up in 20 mins...
I had no intention of playing golf last night, and there was no "would you like to...?" haha, lucky he knows me well enough that no way would I refuse.
