Evening all,

I just wanted to share my delight at shooting 89 today! I didn't have the greatest front 9 but I shot 41 on the back 9.

I've been playing since May and my aim was to break 90 within 12 months, so I'm extremely happy.

I know that I now have to consistently break 90 before I can move towards my next goal and I'll keep working really hard.

By the summer I could be shooting low-mid 80's if I stick with the lessons and keep putting the practice in. Chances are that shooting low 80's within 12 months of playing is pretty unrealistic but you have to set your goals high in life to get to where you want to be.

I wish I took golf up sooner but I've given myself until I'm 30 to be in single figures (that's 5 years).

Have a good weekend chaps

Well done mate

Ive broken 90 3 times in the last 18 months, and trying to get the consistancy to do it more often

I normally hit about 95 ( + or - 2)

Than one day it just comes together, no reason,

hoping ill live long enough to shoot my age

Keep up the good work

nice one,you should take stock of what you did best and work out were you lost shots and work on that part of the game a bit more, and don't forget that course management can knock 5 or 6 shots a round, don't try the impossible and think percentage golf.

So you're 25 and you want to get to a single HC in 5 years................you can do it in less.

I took up the game when I was about 20 odd....drunk at the time. I was down below 10 in around 30 months or so....drunk again. You go for it, but dont get drunk.
