Yesterday Williams F1 won there first Grand Prix for 8 years and they did so not because it rained or that others fell off the road in front of them, they did it on pure pace. I am not a Williams fan as such but you cannot do anything but stand up and clap such an iconic team that have worked so hard to get back to the front. Congratulations and Happy 70th Sir Frank Williams.

After the race there was a fire in the Williams, a pretty shocking looking fire with thick smoke that was the like you have never seen. I doubt F1 fuel is nice stuff. 8 people have visited hospital and 4 are still in I believe.

Everything in the Williams garage is scrap, not a nice end to a very special day.

Every other team in the pit lane rushed with fire extinguishers to the point there was a 6 foot pile of used cans. Every other team has offered Williams whatever they need to have an operational team for two weeks time. Good for you guys!

Awesome race but just a shame what happened afterwards.

It was Bruno's car so I wonder if Michael "It's not my fault" Shoemender ploughing into the back of Senna had anything to do with why the fire started.

The day he accepts responsibility for an accident on the track is the day hell freezes over - I respect his 7 world titles, but he is a pathetic excuse for a man (sorry Al, I know you like him).

It's bad luck on Williams to lose their garage. I'm guessing it's the damage from powder extinguishers that did the damage.

We won't mention that Hamilton's demotion to last on the grid had an influence on William's win then?

There has been mixed reports of the cause of the fire, some are saying that it was a KERS battery explosion and some saying a fuel fire.

The smoke from burning carbon fibre is horrible, but then it is a kind of plastic so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.

I hope all involved make a full and speedy recovery.

Might have been both KERS battery setting the fuel on fire from what I was pick up.

If you watch the long shot of Michael approaching Senna it does look a little different as Senna makes a very late move and in the braking phase of T1, its not really allowed and it is something Michael has been in trouble for, he had no where to go really. That said he will take a 5 place grid drip for it so he is deemed as being in the wrong. I dont think he was. It is seeming that I have to defend my allegiance more and more though and even I am getting a little sick of it. I think I would now like him to hang his hat and admit that today's F1 is not his F1. He was king when testing, money and tyres were all to his taste...

One would have to commend Lewis for how he took the penalty, I think he may well have won the race looking at his pace but I dont think Williams would have been out of it as they had pace on the day. Are you growing up Lewis?

A massive high and a massive low for Sir Frank...

Couldn't be more pleased about the win particularly bearing in mind the recent drought of good results for the Williams team...

Hope everyone involved in the post race 'incident' makes a speedy and full recovery...
