How's your greens?

Ours are good, but they are not being cut too short at the moment, so true but fairly slow. The big amateur comp is on in less than two weeks, and they will then be quick ;)

There's heaps of work goingon in our place at the moment...
A few months ago there were huge deep holes dug alongside 5 of the greens and a few in the fairways...I thoought they were moving tree's again...They have a habit of that in our place....Its a case of "Now you see it now you dont" :D...

Turns out they are pretty deep Pot bunkers :(....

Anyway back to the original post...Greens are in great nick at the moment just starting to get better and better by the week...
Last week they had some sort of fertilizer on them and much to my playing partners amusement i said that it smelled like the seaside....
Turns out that they had said it a couple of holes earlier "I wasnt tuned in at the time" :( :D :D :D
Finger...Always on the pulse

Ours are ok but could be a lot better are the mutterings amongst the members.

How's your course greens doing this year so far?

I hope they're OK I'm playing there on Friday

They're playable don't get me wrong but for South Staffs reputation on the quality of the course and especially the greens, they're below standard.
I have hopes that by the end of April they will be a lot better and by the summer they will be back to a high standard... ;)

Enjoy your round, if the wind is blowing you will be in for a real treat of tough golf on narrow fairways and a howling wind! ;)

Ours are excellent at the minute, playing quick and true, which is fantastic for the time of year, and hopefully means we are in for a great season.

They have just agreed to continue our reciprocal arrangements so thought we'd have a knock there, played it last year & was very impressed

Yeah we have the reciprocal arrangement with a few clubs which is nice. I'll be making my way over to your club in the summer so I'm looking forward to it. :)

Ours have been pretty good for a while however the greenkeepers are about to start overseeding and sanding so that will set them back for 2 - 3 weeks :( but it will be worth it in the long run :D

Ours are terrible at the moment, really stugling with fusarium. The green staff were not able to spray because of the snow and I think we have lost quite a few members because of it. The greens are normaly good at our place so I am sure that they will come back but it is just annoying that putting is a total lottery at the moment. That being said I would still rather be on the course than at work.

They started to look good, and then slashed and dressed them, so now they are rubbish. First medal of the year on Sunday. Not looking good.
