Did anyone else see the #HowFar competition Callaway ran on Twitter recently? For those who didn't, they asked how far you would go to win a new set of Big Bertha irons.

So I decided to put forward my suggestion of playing a round of golf as... CALLAWAY MAN! And of course, took a photo:

I was lucky enough for them to accept my challenge, and played a round on Saturday dressed as Callaway Man:

I'm off to get fitted tomorrow morning for my new set of irons. I filmed the round, and sent the video to Callaway who'll be using it for the promo soon (I hope!).

Erm, okay, well done? Thought it was a bit of a strange marketing move from Callaway, especially when they were advocating people getting a Big Bertha tattoo, but free irons can't be a bad thing. Just a shame they're Big Bertha's and not the much better looking Apex's. Enjoy though, am sure it'll be a good experience. You having your fitting down at Chessington?

Blinkin flip.. No wonder the committee member abused you.. :D How long exactly did that round take? ;)

Well done on the win.. Well Jel as the yoof say...

Well done, saw your Callaway man pics and thought they were great! Seemed to take ages for them to decide on a winner, did they even announce anything?

For the record - I did this round when the course was empty Sat afternoon, after clearing it with the club... not on the Saturday morning roll up!!

It's a huge polystyrene ball I got from eBay for £20. It's hollow and comes apart in two like an Easter egg does, for ease of getting on and off.

I had my Dad and brother in law with me... one to film, one to direct me / guide me to my ball & line me up! Many a topped shot was taken, but I did connect with a few, including a cracking drive on the 3rd which we promptly lost!

We only saw 1 4 ball on the course, who gave us some strange looks! But the course was dead, no one came up behind us thankfully! It was also massively windy, the video is quite funny, one the first hole my head blew off and much hilarity ensued when my bro in law ran up the fairway chasing it!

I'm quite lucky with the comps (Rooter-esque  ) but as they say... you gotta be in it to win it!

Haven't announced the winners yet on Twitter, I guess they will once we've been fitted tomorrow. Yes it's at Chessington.

Well done Adam !! You doing a side line in 2nd hand clubs now mate ???

Your exactly right . . . . got to be in it to win it !!
