Thanks for the help everyone. One problem I have is I don’t know where to start, so I guess looks will somewhat be the overall winner. Just also don’t want clubs that won’t suit me at all, as I’m still a high handicapper.

I do like Ping clubs and some Wilson Staffs and heard they’re quite forgiving so will go looking for some demos or 7i at the shop/online and see how I get on.
Didn't read the whole thread so don't know if someone mentioned this, but I find Golfbidder handy sometimes to browse, because they have a little graphic saying what handicaps the clubs will be suitable for. So looking here for example: https://www.golfbidder.co.uk/clubbrand/PI/3/Ping_iron_set.html - Ping G30 has the whole bar filled in so extremely forgiving. Whereas the iBlade only goes up to about 10 on the scale so obviously less forgiving. Obviously it's just Golfbidder's opinion but it's a handy indicator if you have nothing else to go on. (And that doesn't mean buy them from there as GB isn't always the cheapest, I just mean it has a good visual guide to help you.)

Golfbidder are ok. I've used them a couple of times to buy and sell. Not the cheapest but their "fair" rating is usually ehat many Ebay sellers class as "good". Plus less chance of the clubs being fake.

My last set of irons i got last November and was custom fitted for the first time. Highly recommend it. As i was recommended Graphite the prices were high (£900 or so for the Mizuno's as they are a Mizuno fitter). After going through the choices and me saying I was after something cheaper they showed me some end of line Srixon Z155's in Reg graphite. £279 fitted to my specs. Bargain.
