How to avoid choking under pressure

Just read this article which talks about why people choke under pressure and what they can do to avoid it. It seems the trick is to distract yourself from what you're doing so that you can rely more on muscle memory instead of being gripped by the fear that comes from thinking too much.

So, next time you're faced with a 3-footer for the club championship, give a little whistle..!

Look forward to reading it when I get a sec. I had a 3 footer on satuday, I had alot of them and have been holing them all day but this one made me a little worried for some reason and I was just about to hit it when I stopped, let all the air out of my lungs and then sunk it. It was worth that extra 3 seconds.
 
I usually sing to myself (Internally) or think of a little joke to calm myself down. You can tell as I'm normally grinning as I hit the ball...well I know the punchline!
